Job Description

The User Experience Architect is a key member of our Product Team and will partner with others across the company to enhance and re-imagine the prospect and customer experience with our product and company. Responsibilities:

  • Acquire a deep understanding and passion for our product and services and how our clients benefit from them
  • Evaluate, create, and manage the user experience design discipline and processes
  • Develop a strong grasp of users’ problems before attempting to solve for them
  • Build valuable partnerships and collaborate with cross-departmental teams to shape frictionless experiences that solve problems and deliver value
  • Lead user experience efforts on all sizes of initiatives for our product and supporting resources
  • Lead user research initiatives, which includes developing research strategies and plans, collecting and synthesizing data, and presenting findings and action plans
  • Partner with product managers to identify user goals that must be met for users to be successful with our product
  • Ideate solutions by using flowcharts, user journey maps, wireframes, storyboards, and low-fidelity prototypes so that key concepts and experiences can be illustrated and tested early in solution discovery
  • Design consistent user/system interactions, including animations, loading indicators, and page transitions
  • Design and manage the information architecture and content strategy of our product and supporting resources, partnering with technical writers, client marketers, and client success leaders
  • Evaluate solutions throughout the design process, pre, and post production, by planning for and executing usability testing, synthesizing results, presenting findings, and making recommendations
  • Iterate on experience design while collaborating with team members and stakeholders
  • Partner with user interface designers and developers to translate user experience designs into high-fidelity prototypes and front-end code
  • Provide rationale for design decisions
  • Review and evaluate user, client, and site analytics to unearth barriers and opportunities

Requirements:

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree in user experience design or equivalent
  • 3+ years of proven experience architecting and implementing user-centered experiences for responsive web-based applications as a UX Designer, Interactive Designer, Product Manager, or similar role
  • Comprehensive knowledge in visual and interactive design principles
  • Comprehensive knowledge in quantitative and qualitative research methods specific to user experience to discover user needs, wants, motivations, and barriers
  • Comprehensive knowledge of information architecture principles
  • Experience creating and performing usability testing at different stages of the design process
  • Experience developing and evolving an information architecture and content strategy 
  • Experience reviewing user, client, and site analytics, synthesizing, and developing recommendations
  • Strong communication, storytelling, presentation, and writing skills
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and best practices
  • Self-guided, goal-oriented, empathetic, and roadmap-aligned
