The Product Manager is a key member of our Product Team and will partner with our clients, 3rd party partners, and our internal stakeholders to deliver unique and exceptional value to our customers and business. The person that will succeed in this role is energized by exploring and developing a strategy for product growth, has impeccable collaboration skills, knows how to manage multiple initiatives, delivers on tight timeframes, and can find the balance between short-term needs and long-term product vision.

Responsibilities

  • Product Management (80%)
    • Acquire a deep understanding and passion for our product and services and how our clients benefit from them
    • Deeply understand both our customers and our business to identify the right opportunities to produce valuable outcomes
    • Serve on the Product Council to shape and prioritize the product strategy that will meet the needs of our clients and business
    • Build valuable partnerships and collaborate with cross-departmental teams to support our product strategy
    • Connect the dots between industry and customer research, stakeholder information, business direction, experiment results, and data analysis to develop opportunity narratives, objectives and key results
    • Combine quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to inform crucial product decisions
    • Lead discovery as part of product trios (Product Manager, UX Designer, Tech Lead) to develop a shared understanding of opportunities and be jointly responsible for outcomes
    • Ideate solutions by using different discovery techniques (customer interviews, story mapping, etc...) so that key concepts can be tested early in solution discovery and risks are identified and tackled up front
    • Translate solutions into releases, iterations, stories, and requirements (functional & non-functional)
    • Collaborate with all members of the product team, including UX Research, UX design, UI Design, Engineering, Quality Assurance, UX Writing, and Technical Writing throughout discovery and delivery
    • Define, track, report on, and optimize key product metrics and communicate key findings to the company
    • Embrace and evangelize a culture of shared ownership, experimentation, and lean best practices
    • Refine, prioritize, and manage product backlogs
  • Project & Release Management (20%)
    • Drive the coordination and clear communication of a project from inception through rollout and post-release across the organization
    • Work with the product team to develop and manage project schedules and work plans
    • Monitor schedule progress, health, and make adjustments as needed
    • Coordinate and manage standups, story milestones, reviews, and retrospectives
    • Coordinate internal acceptance testing
    • Coordinate external beta testing and soft releases
    • Coordinate cross-functional rollouts (with marketing, sales, and client success) and retrospectives

Requirements

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in a field with a strong emphasis within technology field (computer science, information systems, analytics, and/or business)
  • 3+ years of proven experience in a B2B SaaS product management role
  • Proven track record of delivering on customer outcomes and business objectives
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, presentation, collaboration, and problem solving skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge in discovery, analysis, and requirements management practices such as interviewing, elicitation, collaboration, opportunity and solution analysis, requirements analysis and design definition, solution evaluation, and requirements lifecycle management
  • Attention to detail with a high-bar for quality experiences that solve problems
  • Knowledge in quantitative and qualitative analysis methods specific to competitive intelligence, industry/domain research, and user/customer research to discover opportunities
  • Experience with creating project schedules and using project management tools
  • Risk assessment and prioritization skills that help teams build the right product and the right time for the right reason
  • Organizational skills that will keep teams on track
  • Comfortable working with hybrid SDLC methodologies and lean best practices
  • Self-guided, goal-oriented, empathetic, and outcome-aligned
