Job Description

The Sales Intelligence Intern will work primarily with the Business Development team to help support and grow sales efforts related to gaining new business. This paid internship role is part of the rapidly growing Sales team and its primary purpose is to gather deeper prospect and client intelligence to enrich our existing CRM sales data.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on behalf of the business development team to uncover potential new leads and new accounts
  • Research new business opportunities utilizing internal and external databases, directories, websites, and other resources
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and uniform documentation of all sales records in the CRM system
  • Work to identify key demographic information for relevant account types and gather/enter that information into identified key accounts in the CRM system
  • Assist with administrative duties, such as data enrichment and cleansing, related to new business development and organic growth
  • When appropriate, work with the business development and client success leadership to develop and execute call campaigns to gain greater intelligence on prospect and client accounts
  • Perform other related duties, special projects, and assignments as required

Qualifications:

  • A self-starter who is passionate about uncovering leads and developing sales intelligence on the account level
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills and curious mind
  • Driven to succeed in an integrated team environment
  • Combine creative and pragmatic use of insight and data with attention to detail
  • Attention to detail and ability to self-motivate through longer term projects
  • Proven experience working successfully in a fast paced team atmosphere

Preferences:

  • Iowa High School Graduate, and/or enrolled in Iowa college
  • Undergraduate or graduating in the next 2 years
  • Available 14 weeks, 10 paid hours per week minimum
