Last week, we talked about how to market yourself as an insurance agent. But to market yourself, don't you need to have a brand? Whether you're working for an agency or you're a one-man shop, having a personal brand in the insurance industry is extremely important.

What is a personal brand?

"Your personal brand should represent the value you are able to consistently deliver to those whom you are serving." (Glenn Llopis, Forbes)

Key word in that quote: value. Just like companies such as Nike or Kraft have to figure out the value they're offering their customers, so do you. You must specifically define yourself and what you offer your clients just as an entire company does.
