New Year, New Tech?
We’re wrapping up another year and setting our New Year’s goals and resolutions. We know that you’re always looking to improve, grow, and mature, so what’s on your list of goals for this next year? Making those decisions can be difficult and time-consuming. If you’re not sure where to start, here are some resources that might help:
Now, let’s ask the big question—are there any big technological upgrades on your list? Or are you on the fence about whether you’re ready or not? Let’s go through some reasons why you may want to take the plunge and upgrade to a new industry-specific Agency Management System (AMS).
- You’re still using paper files. If you are successfully managing your business through paper files, then my hats off to you. However, the truth of the matter is, the vast majority of those still using paper files or even Excel files to manage their business aren’t being as successful or efficient as they could be. If you’re asking why, then check out our blog: The 7 Reasons You Shouldn't Use Excel to Manage Your Book-of-Business.
- You’re processing commissions manually. We’ve had clients that have told us they’ve saved up to 90 hours every month by switching to AgencyBloc with its built-in Commission Module. 90 hours! Think how much you could achieve every month if you got that amount of time back. In addition, they’ve been able to uncover thousands of dollars in missed commissions by utilizing our actual vs. projected commission reports.
- You are using multiple software systems. Are you using a multitude of platforms to perform your daily tasks? If so, how much time do you think you spend every day logging in and out of each of the platforms and transferring updated data from one to the other? If your answer is anything over 10 minutes, then you are spending way too much time on unneeded tedious tasks. Consider upgrading your management system to one software that has integrated or built-in platforms to suit all of your needs (for example, an AMS with email marketing or commission processing capabilities). That way you only have to update your information once in one place, instead of multiple times in various locations.
- You make your best guess for analytics and growth. If you can’t definitively monitor the growth of your agency, see who your top producing agents and carriers are, and view the status of all of your policies, then you need to consider a platform with visual real-time analytics. These graphs can help you visualize the health of your agency and will aid you in making smarter, more informed business decisions.
