Data Security & Backup

AgencyBloc’s platform is entirely hosted using a service from Amazon called EC2. EC2’s data center is SAS-70 and HIPAA-compliant. More information:

Who owns the data?

You do. We do not own any of your data; we simply host it for you on Amazon's HIPAA-compliant servers.

Is my data backed up or do I need to do that?

Your data is backed up every few seconds on Amazon's servers in several locations.

Bank-grade Encryption Utilizing SSL

There are several components of user level security that ensure the confidentiality of information sent across the public Internet. The first requires the user to use of a fully SSL-compliant 128 bit encrypted browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Apple’s Safari. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is an open protocol that allows a user’s browser to establish a secure channel for communicating with our server. SSL utilizes highly effective cryptography techniques between your browser and our server to ensure that the information being passed is authentic, cannot be deciphered, and has not been altered en route. SSL also utilizes a digitally signed certificate, which ensures that you are truly communicating with AgencyBloc’s servers and not a third party trying to intercept the transaction.

Two-Step Verification

Two-Step Verification adds another layer of security to your AgencyBloc account. When logging in, AgencyBloc will send a text message with a verification code to your selected mobile phone. Enter the code as a second check to make sure it's really you.

Restrict Logins by IP Address

To help protect your organization’s data from unauthorized access, AgencyBloc allows you to specify a list of IP addresses to control where users can log into their AgencyBloc account. You can set this option at the account level or the Security Group level.
