It's Brett's turn to tell us what he thinks about company culture. Brett is our magician. We ask him to create things or fix something, and after a few keyboard clicks, it's done—and we don't have a clue what just happened. See what Brett says about company culture:
When I say culture, what do you think of?
When I hear culture, I always think of the people. Who are the people that make up the culture, and how do they interact with each other and their surroundings?
What does a company’s work culture entail?
It includes the company’s goals, work environment, values, ethics, and overall mindset of those involved.
What does a good work culture mean to you?
I think a good work culture is very important. I think it is what leads to our overall happiness. We spend the majority of our time at the workplace so I think you should find a job that has the culture you are looking for. If it does, you will be excited to go to work every day and live a much happier life.
What is your favorite thing about going to work?
The people, the place (the new office is pretty sweet), the laid back environment, the flexibility, the occasional afternoon growler, the intense ping pong matches—the list goes on, but I will stop bragging about how awesome my job is.
What is the most memorable moment thus far that has happened at AB?
Definitely the move to the new space! Oh yeah—can't forget about Mike and I beating Greg and Kelsey 5 games in a row in ping pong, but who's counting?
*Author's note: it was not 5 games. They like to exaggerate!
