When I say culture, what do you think of?
I always think ‘fun’. The positive interactions and the laughter from jokes (especially about a certain team member who is quite loud…..TASHA!) that everyone shares on a daily basis. Oh, and did I mention ping pong?
What does a company’s work culture entail?
Work culture is a product of the values, beliefs and expectations that guide employee behavior.
What does a good work culture mean to you?
Culture, to me, is the overall cohesiveness between all employees. In a smaller company, it is important that everyone gets along and can have positive interactions because everyone relies on each other to a certain extent.
Another thing that I feel is important in creating and maintaining a good work culture is ‘activities’.
Hardcore ping pong doubles matches, fantasy football, and the occasional social gathering are intricate parts of keeping employee moral high. I feel like when you enjoy coming to work, look forward to interacting with your peers, and love what you do, you never really work!
What is your favorite thing about going to work?
The fact that I never dread the thought of coming in to work. Sure there are fun activities and awesome people, but being able to come to work and enjoy every day is truly a unique feeling.
What is the most memorable moment thus far that has happened at AB?
I would say that my entire experience with AB thus far has been memorable. From winning the first year of fantasy football, to the 5 different desks/office spaces that I have been at, and not to mention the fact that Kelsey and I are by far the best ping pong doubles team at AB, every day is the start of something new and exciting in the ‘Bloc!
