Job Description

AgencyBloc is looking for a Senior Product Director to lead a core part of our product portfolio and elevate how we bring value to health and benefits agencies. This role is critical because AMS+ drives the majority of our revenue and success, and we need strong product leadership to ensure we’re building the right things in the right way for our customers. The Senior Product Director will blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution—translating deep customer insights into simple, intuitive, and impactful solutions. You’ll lead and develop a team of product managers, partner closely with UX, Engineering, Client Experience, and Go-to-Market functions, and set the standard for what great product management looks like at AgencyBloc. Ultimately, this leader will help shape our product strategy, improve our execution, and ensure our products delight customers and fuel growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for a major part of the AgencyBloc product portfolio, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of product managers, modeling strong product management practices.
  • Drive a customer-first approach by engaging directly with agencies in research, uncovering needs, and partnering with UX to translate insights into product experiences.
  • Build business cases and define success metrics that balance customer value, business outcomes, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, Client Experience, Marketing, and Sales to deliver solutions that work across the customer lifecycle.
  • Guide roadmap prioritization, balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic bets.
  • Ensure product managers consistently communicate the “why” and “how” behind features to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Create processes and rituals that improve product execution, release readiness, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Champion usability and simplicity — ensuring our solutions remain intuitive for small businesses while scaling for more complex agencies.
  • Partner with senior leadership to evolve our segmentation strategy and ensure products are designed to meet the distinct needs of different customer types.
  • Monitor product performance with data and customer feedback, adjusting course as needed.
  • Serve as a thought leader and role model for product management excellence at AgencyBloc.
  • May help in product promotion to customers, including attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Be a thought leader who can define and articulate the key external trends in healthcare and SaaS offerings.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer-Driven and UX-Minded: Demonstrates a strong bias for engaging directly with customers to uncover needs, jobs-to-be-done, and pain points — and works with UX to translate those insights into intuitive, impactful product experiences.
  • Product Management Expertise: Possesses deep knowledge of the discipline, with hands-on experience across the full lifecycle — strategy, roadmap, discovery, definition, metrics, and execution — while applying the right tools and practices to fit the situation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaborator: Builds strong partnerships across Engineering, UX, Client Experience, Sales, and Marketing. Leverages facilitation, influence, and clear communication to align stakeholders and move work forward.
  • Strategic + Hands-On: Comfortable setting vision and strategy while also rolling up sleeves to write stories, conduct discovery interviews, test prototypes, or analyze product metrics. Balances long-term thinking with near-term execution.
  • Cultural Fit: Thrives in a fast-paced, people-oriented culture — driving change while honoring AgencyBloc’s roots in serving small agencies. Contributes positively to team dynamics and company culture through transparency, accountability, and collaboration.

Skills/Education/Experience:

  • 10+ years of product management experience in SaaS, preferably with some exposure to health insurance, benefits, or related industries.
  • 3+ years leading product managers or equivalent leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of modern product management practices, including UX, agile, discovery, and customer research methods.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence up, down, and across the organization.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at bringing clarity, structure, and alignment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Insurance/Health & Benefits knowledge and experience managing others preferred.
